The website was owned by the industrial
manufacturer and it looked it. Images
emphasized the packaging and manufacture
rather than the end use of the product and
the site was predominantly black and white.
It was well optimized for search, however.
Rapport Online created a more friendly and
consumer oriented look. Testimonials and a
monthly special were added. A minimum
purchase requirement was removed and all of
the products were packaged so that the
purchase of any item would meet the site
minimum. |

The conversion rate (number of sales/100
visitors) increased more than ten times and
shopping cart abandonment was significantly
reduced. The search engine ranking was
unaffected. |
